What do you mean by that? Anyone with the money could've bought one. It's not like the Neon ACRs which required you to have an SCCA membership...

man i havent been on in a while. i didnt think this thread would take off. When i meant new edge i mean 05 + but it dont really matter. i know one no body mentioned was schinoda they make the boss mustang for the new edge ponys. im not sure what other ones there are but theres a shit ton. figured we could make one giant list.

to buy the 2000 Cobra R you had to have an SCCA membership

"new edge" is 1999-2004

scott2001gt did mention the boss. the shinoda boss has been around for quite a few years, not just for the S197's (2005+)

were you asking about ALL special editions, or just factory special editions?

sorry you had to have a SCCA membership & connections at Ford (good ones). hell they weren't even delivered to all 50 states (most states didn't get any). same as the Cobra Jet's last year, do you think most of us (money aside) could have bought one? I just used it as a point any way. there alway's has been one-off cars & there always will be, but if the local dealer can't get it or you or I can't buy it, how can you include it?

Seems like everyone forgot the centennial edition.

I think it's called the "Summer" edition. If you go to Google images you'll see it. They are distinct by the body colored windshield frame as opposed to the black frame on regular models. But these are Fox Bodys, not the New Edge.
