Depends on who you gonna have tune your car and what they use. SCT is probally the most Popular, then Diablo. Sniper is up and coming.

Where you from...Im sure someone will chime in with a local dealer who can set you up with what you need.

I'm buying the Diablo from AM... I'm in Longview, TX we have a reputable shop here that does dyno tuning but for the time being my intention is to use the tuner on my own, I'm not going to drop the cash on a dyno tune when the car isn't even finished yet.. Mainly for now i want to be able to recal for gears, turn off my o2's (because the MILs i dropped $70 on were worthless) and slap a 93 octane tune on it, and worry about the rest later..

I have a sniper. I like it because you do all of the programming via PC or laptop. Very easy to work with. Unfortunately, it's not widely used, and most tuners use something else. I'm going to have to buy a new tuner when I get my car tuned hopefully at the end of the month.

Diablo cant turn off the rear o2s without a custom tune from a CMR dealer , neither can SCT , only Sniper can out of the box

I'm not 100% sure that you're correct on that. As per AM website it states the the "end user" can adjust the following parameters

* Dual timing adjustment points (2000-4000 RPM / 4000-7000 RPM)
* Timing table (+10% / -40%)
* Dual fuel adjustment points (2000-4000 RPM / 4000-7000 RPM)
* Fuel table (+40% / -15%)
* Idle (+/- 20%)
* On/Off switch for Traction Control
* Raise Speed Limiter
* Rev Limiter
* Re-Calibrate Speedometer for Gear and Tire Size Changes
* WOT Shift Pressure
* Part throttle shift firmness
* RPM Shift Points
* Torque Modulation (for better shift feel)
* Cooling Fan ON/OFF Temperatures
* Rear Oxygen sensor disable (use for off-road vehicles only)
* Disable EGR (use for off-road vehicles only)
* All of these parameters can be adjusted on the DiabloSport tune and/or the factory tune

If what you say is correct, then this is false advertisement and i will send it back for a refund as soon as i receive it..

View topic - No way to disable rear o2 sensors :: DiabloSport :: Gas and Diesel Tuning Systems

if you want to know more , just search the Diablo forums under 7r50d , the first digit is the year of the version , so basically you would have to have a 2007 or older Diablo Predator that has not been updated already in order to turn off the rear o2s without having a custom tune done .....Sniper ( now Delta Force Tuning) is the only one that can still do it without having a custom tune done, I can get you a Delta Force Tuning SF kit for 369 shipped and you will not have to buy a separate PC interface kit either and the kit will tune 2 cars out of the box and still allows you to disable the rear o2s and disable the EGR and even the PATs system if need be ..........

Well, I was hoping it would work out but alas, the Diablosport indeed does NOT do what the AM website stated it did. I will be calling them in the morning and having a chat with a rep about making sure their website is up to date. Also had a bad bulb in my HID kit.. hrrrmph.. not real happy right now.. $900 in parts and haven't gotten to use any of them yet..

P.S. when i get my refund from AM, I will be contacting you to order the Sniper..

the newer diablo tuners will NOT do it, i have stopped using them because of it, The SCT tuners will do it for sure, and i have never used sniper yet..

I ended up returning my Diablo.. i'm going with the Sniper for the end-user adjustability.. and it's cheaper than the Diablo with the PC Interface kit (which is useless unless you purchase custom tunes)
