Question

5.0L or 5.1L stroker

Here it is. I run N2O on my 04 GT. I chipped a piston being stupid and now am in the rebuild phase. I have been doing a lot of looking around online for different paths to go down.
Things I know for sure:
1. Patriot Stage III heads
2. Comp Stage II cams xe270ah
3. Professional Products Typhoone Intake manifold
4. 255 LPH intank fuel pump
5. New fuel rails and injectors

I have been doing a lot of looking into the stroker mods, and have found the 5.0L to have stoke bore, with a 3.75 crank to make up the extra ci. I have found the 5.1L from coasthigh.com advertises it to have a 3.75 crank and a 70 over bore on the romeo block. What I can't find out is if the 70 over bore is from a stock block or if it has been sleeved and machined to withstand that much bore? Has anyone ran either variation of the stroker Mod?

I want to run between a 10.5 and 11:1 compression ratio, and shoot a 100-150 shot of N20 at the track. Thanks in advance for your input.

Well, you already messed it up once, so why dump money into it and run NAWZ again? Go with a S/C or Turbo, make sure the son of a bitch is tuned right, and don't look back.

I had the setup and tune good for the N2O. I was new too it, and pushed it to hard for too long in the wrong gear. I think it would have still been running strong now if I hadn't messed up. But now I am building bigger, better, faster.

Has anyone ran a stroker setup based off the 4.6L enginge, and if so did you use anything comparable to the listed heads, cams, intake ect. listed in my orginal post?

5.0L stroker kits have had overheating issues. Its not something you want with any F/I or Power adder. Rebuild the 4.6L or just drop a 5.4L. The 5.4L has way more torque, something that we all want. Im debating if its should be my next route. I too run nitrous. 5.4L paired with the new TFS heads, with an agressive cam, HPS hard baller intake, im looking close to 350-375 before the spray. Then spray on top of that. That will be a nasty route.
