HID flickering when car is off

I have a direct plug n play hid conversion kit installed in my car that i bought off of ebay. i had them installed for over 2 years with no problems. Now I notice the driverside flickers and goes out completely if i turn them on and the car is not running. As long as the engine running the lights wont flickeand stay on with no problems. Can someone help me out with this problem please? I think I may have a bad ground on the passengerside because the person that had the car before me put those blue halogen bulbs that melted the stock harness socket.

does sound like a power issue, or a ballast going bad...

I think your are 100% correct about it being the battery. I rarely drive my car maybe like once in two or three weeks. It just sits. But I have an optima battery and I thought they can sit for long periods

Good to hear. I STILL can't get mine to work...going with another kit soon. Tired of the runaround with QuickAutoHouse which doesn't even have a number in the States, nor does their outsourced tech guy want to answer his phone, nor do they understand plain English when I tell them what's wrong (bad bulb, no connector for the bulb harness connection, and a problem eliminator plug). I can't wait to see my HIDs!

Try taking the bulbs out and spay a little lithium and plug them in and out a few time to get a better connection.
