dome lighting wiring help
I am thinking about installing some led kit in the interior to put under the dash since Im sick of not being able to see what is on the floorboard at night. What I want to do is have the leds come on when the door is opened and shit off when the door closes , like the same time with my dome light.Anyone know what wires I will need to splice into to get the the dome lights? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the help guys, I found the wires to tap into the dome light which is on the passenger side A pillar. The black wire is negative, but there are two others wires , (another black wire with white tracer) and a light green wire with purple tracer) . I dont know which is the remote 12volt wire to tap into for positive. Or will it matter? I think one is a constant 12v and the other is remote 12 volt. Any help would be appreciated .

well th ehaynes manual wiring diagram is pretty tricky to understand, but i believe it says the black/light blue wire is the one connected to the courtesy lamp switch. but do NOT go by what I just said...can someone verify?

The first thing you need to figure out is if the dome light is positive or negative switched.
I've also considered doing this but have yet to follow through. I hate the supid colored "rice lights" but I would like simple white lights to come on when I open the door.

they are a positive trigger wire (domelight and door trigger wires as they are tied in together at the GEM module)
