Useful info from StangSuspensionOnly for Tokico, Koni, or KYB do you have to get the 87-93 struts on lowered Mustangs. These brands use internal bumpstops which can get damaged if you use the newer struts. For Bilsteins, it is not necessary... you can use the 94-04 struts/shocks. if you have an already lowered mustang, meaning you put lowering springs on it-and you are going to replace your shocks/struts, if you buy anything BUT Bilsteins it is recommended to order for a Fox Body instead of a 94-04.

and this is supposed to be due to the internal bumpstops? So there is a problem with everyother Mustang on the road that uses these struts ? I have put countless shocks and strut combos in Mustangs and never had problems.
