alright guys so i have been thinking alot about it and it brings another question about, Which would i be better doing? the exhaust setup like i have been talking about, OR 3.73 gears, cold air intake, and throttle body? because im thinking its going to be pretty close to the same price getting that. So what would you guys do if it was you? thanks again for all the replys and help i really appriciate it!

+1 on the 4.10's, CAI is also good. Get some UD pullies. They are a good bang for your buck mod. If you want a good sounding exaust, just go to a muffler shop and get your mufflers cut off. Thats what I did on my 96. I have had it like that for a year and had no problems and it sounds great. It's cheap too! It cost like $50 to get them cut off.

If you plan on getting gears it will take most of your money though. Gears and the install will be around $400. Unless you are some big time grease monkey, you need to have them installed. So gears(400) + CAI (200) will take all your money up.

ok if i get gears i will be installing them myself along with my cousin. thats all he did growing up was working side by side with my uncle which was a machanic. and i am not a total stranger to cars, just need to research and then dive in and figure it out with help. The thing is, i want to keep good gas milage that is why i want 3.73s it will def be a step up from what i have now but keep around the same gas.

question, which would be better a mass air? or a throttle body?

Also i have never been more confused about one mod in my life, CAI i have heard it does nothing hardly at all a MILLION times, and i have heard its the greatest thing ever a MILLION times, how can there be so many diff answeres? can i get a good straight one? lol thanks

go with JLT CAI or RAI if you have the strut bar for added chassis...

the differance in 4.10's and 3.73's is about 9 miles per tank. ...so pretty much no differance. Go with the 4.10's, or you will regret it later.
