Looking at 18's..have some fitment questions

I think I may go with 18's. I know tons of you guys run 18's.

In the TSW Catalunya, I'm looking at 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear. What tire sizes are going to fit the best on the rim but not affect my speedometer or cause scrubbing up front? What is the widest I can run in the rear?

What offset would you suggest to bring this combination closer to flush with the fender?

Thanks!

with the 18/9 you should run anywhere from a 255 to a 275 in front and i believe that a 18/9 can fit up to a 285 in the rear. but don't quote me on that.

why not step up to a ten inch rim in the rear?

You should run 255/40/18's in the front and 275/40/18's in the back.

I'm looking for a particular style of rim and sadly, the widest width I can find is a 9.5, so I'm kinda stuck. I've heard elsewhere that up front, I should stick with a 245 or risk scrubbing (I'm lowering the car).
