Need to know factory offset as well as offset for new rims..I need to know what is the factory offset and is this the same offset I need to go with on the new rims to get them to fit correctly? Rim sizes I'm considering are: 18x8 in the front and 18x9.5 in the rear or 19x8 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear. The rim diameter will be decided by what style I can find that carry a 9.5 width. Most of the 18's I'm finding in the style I like don't get any wider than 8. That's why I'm considering 19's. Thanks! Patty |

19x8s are gonna look funny because they're taller and the same width. there are alot of companies that make 18x9,18x9.5 and 18x10.
the factory offset is about 8.5in. thats with the quad shocks removed. so that leaves you with about a 3in lip what kind of wheels are you looking for?

![]() This is the style of rim I'm looking for, but in gray/graphite to match the graphite stripes I'm going to add. So that choice is severely limiting my options, not to mention that I'm trying to keep everything within a budget, as I am a single mom. I realize the 19x8's are going to look funny, but I'm not putting them on the rear - I'm putting the wider ones on the rear. I was staying with the narrower wheel up front to reduce the chance of scrubbing since I am lowering the car. In your answer to offset, I've seen someone else say that the offset was +45mm, so you confuse me with the 8.5 inches.....do I need to convert that to mm? I thought my factory wheels were 17x7.5, though I could be wrong. [/img] |

![]() here's a pic of my 03 GT its lowered about a 1.5in and i got 18x9 on the front with 265/40/18 and 18x10.5 on the rear with a 285/35/18 actually the factory wheels are 17x8,bullitts right? are you asking whats the offset on the front or rear? what i meant with the 8.5in offset is...measuring from the backplate of the rotor where the wheel hits it to the inner most part of the fenderwell is about 8.5in. ilets say you have a 10in wide wheel in the back and anything more than a 2.5in lip is gonna stick out so you need a 7.5in offset or backspacing. hope that makes sense.

After thinking about what you have said, I have decided that the easier thing to do is go with wheels that are meant to fit Mustangs. LOL
I went to americanmuscle.com and actually really like the FR500's in anthracite finish. I want the 18x9's in the front and 18x10's in the rear. Here's my dillema: I'm about to put Eibach Sportline lowering springs on it....they say they will create a 1 3/4 to 2 1/4" drop. I would like to get both the wheels and tires from americanmuscle.....the smallest they have (in a matching front and rear tire combination) for the 9" rim are 265/35/18. Am I going to scrub up front?? |

no you shouldn't rub in the front because those are the exact same size i have on my car but i would go with anywhere from a 295 to a 315 on the back.
but honestly i would go with a eibach pro-kit. it will lower it 1.7in in the front and 1.5 in the rear,anything more than that and you might run into some clearence issues. don't mean to repeat myself but i have the pro-kit on my car(same year as yours) with the same size wheels you are getting and i have never had any problems.
