What do I need to cover for cleaning the engine bay?

Well, as you can see in the picture below the previous owner took no time cleaning the engine bay. So Before I do it myself I am needing some advice on what to cover with a trash bag or whatever would work the best before I ruin my electrical system. Also what's your guys favorite engine degreaser.

I plan on following steps somewhat like theses:
How to Detail an Engine Bay | eHow.com

Maybe take my photo and paint over it to point out the spots would help out a alot

Wrap your alternator in foil and call iot good.
Just don't really spray the electrical connections.
Only other issue would be air filter element, and yours isn't even in the engine bay so go to town.
Search for Emay's procedure, BTW.

+1, you really don’t need to cover much, i did the above on all 3 of my vehicles. and used a pressure washer and never had any problems, but I never started them up right away, I always left the hood open to let it air out for half a day or so
