New 18 inch rim question...18x9 front & 18x10 rear

So after getting no sleep last night trying to figure this out and not getting many answers from anyone on offset, I think the rims that I wanted to do come in the right offset.

OK...2003 GT....I went to americanmuscle.com and actually really like the FR500's in anthracite finish. As in my title, I want the 18x9's in the front and 18x10's in the rear.

For the rear, Im going to put 285/35/18.

Here's my dillema: I'm about to put Eibach Sportline lowering springs on it....they say they will create a 1 3/4 to 2 1/4" drop. I would like to get both the wheels and tires from americanmuscle.....the smallest they have for the 9" rim are 265/35/18.

Am I going to scrub up front??

As long as you keep the stock tire height on the front and it shouldn't. I dropped about 2" in the front (by accident) and it only scrubbed when turning hard, though I had soft springs.

35 is too small of a sidewall for your car. You should be getting 285/40/18. 35 is what you'd get if you had 20's

I have 18x10's in the rear and I went with 285/35 18s and I'm not happy with them. The sidewall curves too much, you need wider tire, i would suggest at least a 305 or maybe a 295

BS!!! Unless the roads, where you live, are rough and pot holed, 35's are just fine. I run 40 sidewalls and Denver has shit roads.

Yes on the 18x9 front and 18x10.5 rears. Just the best performance setup and what Saleen also does. I run 245-40-18 front and 275-40-18 rears. 280 will fit a lot better.

To cover the drop spring issue, I have a 2" drop on my GT and zero problems with clearance with the tires. Your only issue will be with speed bumps with your drive.

Finally, make sure you upgrade your S/S and control arms if you are changing springs. Might as well get it all done at once and done right.

The only shitty thing about 10 in the rear and 9 in the front is you cant rotate your tires and that sux if you like to hotrod like me.
Make sure to get your alighnment done if you drop it more then 1.5 inches lol. Inner tire wear sux.

I got the black fr500's from american muscle and have had no problems with the rear 285/35/18 (10 inch) and the front (9 inch) 265/35/18 with the sportline drop and the roush stage 3 kit. I have no problems at all. I am very happy with them, the tires fill up the wheel however I will prob go to 295's next time.

I have a 97 Cobra with the Eibach sport liness adn the FR500's , 9's up front 10.5's out back no problem at all, I run 285/35/18 in back and 265/35/18 up front, I love it, and the ride is actually pretty smooth. I have no issues with rub at all. And the stance is perfect.

Just an FYI, don't forget the caster camber plates, they are a must. I installed mine on the same day for the perfect alignment and as stated it is great.

Hope this helps.
