Tr3650


I have a question about this trans. there is a guy on craigslist. with a new trans for a 05' gt. i would like to know if this will work on my 04' mach 1? he has it for $700 o/b/o.

this is what the ad says..

I have brand new in box tr3650 tremec trans.It is a brand new ford unit that wasn't used.Part number from Ford is 6R3Z-7003-AA. Just add clutch,slave cyl. and shifter.Looking for 700 obo.

the tr3650 in the newer mustang is different, you would need to modify your drivshaft, the trans mount, need to make your car into a hydraulic style system from the cable style the 04 and older have. and the shifter on the 05 and up have a remote shifter. you would have to modify that also. there might be some other things that might need to be done, alot of work, you could buy a new 6sp or hd 5sp for a around the same price it would take you to use this tranny.
