What mods would need to be done to fit the brakes on a 96 GT?

Softer suspension, actually. Cobras (up until the Terminator) were designed to be road course cars, and the softer springs supposedly give better overall grip.

Tranny is the same; NPI GTs got the T45, as well.

I have always heard Softer springs with Bigger sway bars or Little sway bars and stiff spring is the better for handling, but don't know how true this is.

Yea there all T-45s but i thought the Cobras came with Tremec T-45s and not the Borg warner but either way there the same basic tranny
