Shifters..
Looking for some advice on shifters...looking at the Pro 5.0 but heard a lot about the Steeda Tri-Ax. Anyone out there with the Pro 5.0 that can give me pro's and con's?? Or how about con's for the Steeda since I've only heard the pro's. It's for an 05 Mustang GT with no mods...yet. I am also getting 4.10 gears from Ford Racing if that will matter on the shifter decision which I don't believe will. Thanks everyone!!

What I was told at my local Mustang shop was that the steeda and the Pro 5.0 are built the same, and that the Pro 5.0 Customer service is better than steedas. Hope this helps

i have a pro 5.0 on my 96 and love it. but my '07 is stock, so i don't know how good the new one is. I went with the pro 5.0 because it was shorter than the tri-ax

+ 1 for the steeda, although i have heard a lot of good things about the pro 5.0. i don't think you can really go wrong with either one of these tho

I've driven both the Pro 5.0 and Steeda Triax. I chose the Steeda. The 5.0 has a shorter / tighter throw but the Steeda is alot easier to shift and going into 3rd is especially easy while powershifting. Much more confidence in shifting a Triax for me. Can't vouch for the customer service because I never needed any, though I can tell you they are definately not the same.
Don't forget, you've also got the MGW and UPR shifters (probably more too). Never shifted either but I've heard alot of good stuff about MGW. |

+1 on TriAx.....shifts are very postive, i have it set to the shortest throw postion, 2nd to 3rd is very smooth and quick.....havent tried the 5.0 or the MGW.....but you definately wont be sorry with the steeda.

pretty easily, if youve done them before it can take 10 minutes and your first time it might take you an hour. it will come with directions on how to do it. pretty easy
