DO NOT PASS GO, DO NOT COLLECT 200 DOLLARS, GET TO A COMPETENT TUNER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Pay specific attention to the competent tuner part. 16 hours, 6 grand, and a dyno does not qualify anyone to be a tuner. Get referrals from intelligent folk, not the ones who would not know a good tune or what driveability is.

I dont really agree with anything the person above wrote, because whats the use in a "tune" when he already has one that we dont know if its good or bad. The problem is stalling, and how would a tune fix his problem if its something mechanical ??

Anyways... Here are youre codes.

p1520 IMRC Circuit malf.

p0500 Vss malf.

p0352/353 Ignition coil malf circuit b and c

So you have problems with youre IMRC's, VSS, and Coil packs.

The IMRC are known to have problems on these certain year Cobras, because of carbon...BUT the person before you may have bought the delete kit and it may be unplugged and causing this code, so you might be all set with it. Just check to see if you have IMRC's anymore. If you still have them and its still comming with this code, you might have a motor problem ( as in IMRC motor, not actuall engine ) usually if you have IMRC sticking, it will say stuck open/closed.

The VSS problem, Vehicle Speed Sensor...no clue. check the wiring.

The coil packs, doesnt suprise me either. Because the coil packs on the 96-98's go bad alot, as they do on the newer years too. Check to see what you have for coil pack.

As for the stalling at idle, i could suggest cleaning out youre IAC Idle Air control Valve. Remove it check for carbon and clean. reinstall. Might take care of youre problem.

Just some stuff to think about..Good luck

Matty
