Interior Paint

I have been wanting black interior forever. I found some Duplicolor interior paint that matches the the black trim in my car.
My questions are, will this paint bite and stick to my door panels and possibly my seats? I saw them do it on Muscle Car but thats TV they can make anything work.

I had an 87 gt, that used to have a grey interior...pulled it all out and sprayed it flat black. I actually cleaned everything up with some dish soap and water first...then sprayed right on. I never used a primer or a clear coat...and it came out great.

well i sprayed the rear and door panels tonight. It looks good but it chips really easy. I put a fairly thick coat on the door panels hoping it would help but it doesnt really.

the only thing i had to do after i painted was wipe everything with a swiffer...its took whatever paint dust off, and this way nothing got paint residue rubbed off on it. Came out awesome though when I was done

My wife's speedster has the black & tan interior. She wanted the carpet replaced with black so I did that last year as a Christmas present. You would be amazed at how much cleaner the entire interior looks with the black carpet. It looks like it was meant to be there as well, it doesn't look out of place at all.

When I was done putting the car all back together my 10 year old daughter asked "what did you do to it?" As she was sitting in it. That's how much it looks like it belongs there.

You can use the black carpet from any 94-04 car, they all fit the same. The 99-04 is more of a really dark grey though.

A lot of good information in this post, I thankfully have the black/grey currently, but I am looking at Cobra's and am finding that the better deals have the tan interiour.. At least I know its fairly simple to change. thanks guys, reps
