Anyone running steel motor mounts?

The 2-step has finished off my stock motor mounts and I'm not sure if I want to go solid or poly..... I would prefer to go solid but I have never been in a 4.6 car with them. To those of you that have either been in a car with them or own a set just how bad is it with the 4.6?

i dont have them in my stang but a friend of mine has them in his rsx, they are extremely harsh, they make the entire car buzz and rattle and makes it seem cheap in my opinion, if your drive yours on the street then i would go poly, strictly race car i would go solid

yes, I had them in mine for awhile and took them out cause they were not cool with driving around in the car for extended times. The thing I did like about them is that you can "feel" the motor. if I can find them, if i havent already got rid of them, you can have them.

i liked the fact that whenever he did a burnout in his rsx it was extremely smooth, there was no jolt

Comparing different motors doesn't really help. Every car reacts to them a little different. I have numerous fox bodys that I have ran them in.
I already ordered a set of poly bushings for it and installed them a few days ago. While I was in there I found one of my Strange 10 ways was blown. YAY! They were only a year old.

i have solid motor mounts from ford racing. and also solid tranny cross member mounts and removed the spacer in my shifter. all my stuff is soooo ridged. but i like it other than the fact that it is alot louder (transfers all engine movement and noise thought the body)

Not a fan of solid motor mounts at all! For a pure race car yes but for a street car no. Like mentioned above you feel everything. If you are looking for a better motor mount I would suggest going with a Energy Suspension they will hold up better than stock and wont be crazy like solid mounts. Just my opinion....Hope it helps.
Thanks
Brad
