nitrous question

Thinking about going with a 75-100 hp shot. Just wondering if i bolt this on my 2010 and run an email tune with my sct...if my internals were to, for some reason, decide to seperate and fly in different directions, would I be able to put on my stock intake and throttle body...rip out the nitrous kit, reflash the computer back to stock settings. If i did all that and took it to the dealer would they be able to call my bs and hang me with the bill for the new motor. Its not that I dont trust a 100 shot of nos, Ran a 200 shot in my nova for a year or better, just its a brand new stang and dont want a car payment minus the nice features of being able to drive it lol.

I was more worried about them being able to look at some sort of data logging. I dont know if that would show. Just dont want to eat 4 to 5 grand.

well i work at a honda dealership and i know that we denied a customer with a civic si a warranty transmission because a couple of us saw him out at the track, so just be careful where you run it and who you tell whats done to it.

Best bet is to pull a mechanic aside at the dealer and ask him. Pay him 20 after to keep his mouth shut =P

My uncle works at a dealership and says it's painfully obvious when stuff like this happens but they usually just do the work anyway. It doesn't really matter to the mechanic working on it, if anything it creates more work and job security for them.

it creates more work but usually a mechanic will decline it as warranty and make you pay customer pay which means they get to flag about twice the time that they would get if it was warranty which means more money in their pocket, which means if they notice it, they arent doing it under warranty, if it were me, i would drive it until its out of warranty then get nitrous just my 2 cents

I have an idea........................... Dont blow it up.

100hp worth of Nitrous Oxide isnt going to break these engines. Especially a fresh 3v. These motors can handle 450rwhp all day long with a good tune. Just make sure the tune is conservative (as is your foot) and you'll be fine.
