Mach 1

What would win, a 2003 mach one stock or a 2000 camaro ss?

Well, the Mach 1 has two Kings showing, and the Camaro only has a Queen and an Ace. Who's winning?

It depends on the game.

All kidding aside, it's gonna depend on the drivers, and what kind of race you're talking about.

I don't think the new GT's can take an SS. They weigh more, and they have that crappy fly by wire throttle shit. You can't power shift a new GT straight from the factory. Plus the Mach's are the sectsy

and theyll eat a stock mach1. whoever told you a 13.4 stock is terrible driver. they can go 12.7-9 stock with a good driver. but your average driver is gonna run them arouns a 13.5 and then the same driver is gonna run the mach around a 13.8-9

well then in that case they would be able to run with or outrun a 03-04 cobra with less hp and I have never heard of a ss ls1 beating a 03 04 cobra stock for stock anywhere! and a mach 1 and ls1 is a drivers race and from what ive seen you will see a good driver get a 13.1 - 13.3 in a mach 1 before you will see a ss get those numbers 12.7 - 12.9 never seen those around here!

yes you can trust me :wink

I have seen my buddys Mach walk my buddys SS, i have also seen the SS walk the Mach. Both stick cars. A 3v Gt, SS, and Mach are too close in times to guess who would win in a street race.

i can agree on that, but ive personally driven a completely stock 99 trans am ws6 to a 12.8 stock. it can and has been done a bunch of times. now a cobra can run 12.6 stock with a good driver, but realise that 75% of people who own these cars think they can drive and really dont have a clue

Now that I have to see I dont question your driving skills but an ss with some slicks and maybe an exhaust and a great driver I can see that 12.8, but bone stock on street tires that i have to see! and just for the record if I could choose I'd choose a ws6 over a ss camaro, pontiacs just look better IMO. (Only if a cobra or a mach1 wasn't available that is and I had money )!

I thought the fly by wire throttle control would close the throttle body or drop the RPM's somehow in between shifts? Maybe it was just me dreaming...
