need help

hey i am thinking about buying a mustang very soon but i am torn between a older one like a 1990 to 1993 5.0 or one of the 1999-2004 ones. the questions i have is that how far can i up grade the newer ones with the 2v motor over the old 5.0 cars? and will i be able the get the same power and ET's out the the cars? should i try to get one of the 4v cars like the mach1 or cobra and then build from there or get a 2v for the price? i would really like a 03-04 cobra but i dont have that much money and i dont think the wife will like me spending that much for a car that i wont drive every day.

well the 5.0 cars made roughly 220 hp i believe but they only weight like 2800 pounds i believe, there were some anniversary editions but not sure on the hp ratings, the 2v 99-04 stock 260 hp and around 3200 pounds or so i have heard and you can mod these motors to about 450rwhp with a power adder, that's as far as you can go safely with a stock setup, now a 03 04 mach 1 has 315 hp stock and runs low 13's with a cai, tune and exhaust they are a definite mid 12 car but most are still around 16000 to 20000 so they are still a bi salty! I would go 2v with a supercharger and some good suspension and rearend you'll have a low 12 high 11 car.

Any mustang can do that. There that cool.

99-04 will do that and still get decent gas mileage...
