v8 question ? may just go with no muffler

my GT has the side exhaust magnaflow but its way to mellow so SHOULD i keep stock H mid pipe and cats and just take out my mufflers ? ? its very easy because i have side exhaust and all i do is cut and dont need to wrry about making pipes go out the back... then when i need to go to pass emissions in a year i can slip them right back on ? ? any suggestion ?

GOOD i want it loud cuz i have a v8 for a reason! lol and not worried to much about losing HP but will taking my mufflers off make me loose back pressure ? or do i just not need to worry. any Down side when i remove muffler ? performance wise or do i need to get it tuned for sum reason lol

You dont want back pressue.
You wont need a tune.
Its going to be loud
And if anything youll gain .5hp

sounds good to me ! i have stock mid H pipe so i have 4 cats :0 lol and my magnaflow are not the same like other magnaflow.. they are not straight in and out my magnaflow muffler go in and back out on the same side becasue i have side exhaust and all the other mustangs with same set up have the same mellow tone.. so ill def take a before and after video.

i have no mufflers with stock midpipe and it sounds pretty good and have thought about running side pipes just to get it out from under the car ( drones a bit sometimes )

It will perform better with no cats and quality mufflers then stock cats and no mufflers.

It's actually not that bad TBH. These 4.6L's are pretty quite considering. I have run mine with open headers and just the mid pipe and it's not overly loud. I had a hot rod with a cammed 327, LT headers, and race bullet mufflers. That was a loud mofo.

yes taking cats off would but i can now easily unbolt my magnaflow mufflers with out any cutting and when i need to go to DEQ and pass emissions i can easily out them back on and not worry about cutting cats or have a cop randomly look for cats and give me a huge ass ticket lol and i have heard mustang with my set up with no muffler and it sounds great! and i have a friend who is bolting on some 3in pipes in place of my mufflers and since i have side exhaust only need a slight bend from my Hpipe and throw some tips on ! so im good now !! i will pot befor and after videos ASAP

WOW my mustang sounds AMAZING VIDEO on Monday ! i un bolted the mufflers so i have stock cats and h-pipe and thats it and the look matches the sound it makes ! throaty rumble at start and ideal and just easy eccel sounds mean and even better when i step on it! i could have spent 400 on new muffler and pipe but only took 20 min of unbolting and achevid same sound
