I had to make some adapter brackets when i put my racing seats in. You may have to do the same but it works

Just racing seats. But the way i did it could be duplicated pretty easily for other applications.
Pretty much heres a quick over view-- I got some ebay racing seats (nicer ones) and they didnt come with brackets. Just some semi fuctional sliders. I wasnt pleased. So what I did was I took some 1.5" x .25" steel and bolted that down to the bottom of the seat. Then I did some drilling and marking and bolted that down to the driver side power seat thing. I had to drill new holes into the driver side slider/bracket to make them match up with the cross peices i made from the steel. So pretty much bolt the steel to the seat. Then mark and drill new holes into the bracket/slider and the steel. Now for the passenger seat I did something a bit simpler. Get a large flat peice of steal. A square, probobly best to keep it about 1/4" thick. Bolt that entire sheet down to the bottom of the seat into the stock holes. Then copy over the holes of were the stock slider/brackets holes are and mark and drill those to the piece of steel. Pretty much so the bracket/slider bolt to the peice of steel and the steel bolts to the seat. If you worried about some weight savings you can drill out the center of the seat. For the passenger seat with the slider. Do not drill new holes into the top if the slider. Cause theres a bearing in there and it will get stuck on any new hardware. Use the stock holes. For the driver side i had to cut out the power seat moving thing out of the driver seat and i just let is sit under the seat (i dont normally change my seat). Any questions?

hmmm i guess it works ... not exactly sure how safe it sounds but watever floats your boat. i dont know if 05 seats will fit or not, there is alot to consider, i highly doubt that they will bolt right in, and if you have custom brackets made or something like what sharkbait did you need to make sure that the seat physically fits into the car they might be a bit wider than ours. if i were you i would browse craigslist, the for sale section on forums, and junkyards and look for some seats from our years, much less headache

Well there 5 point harnesses.
So ofcourse im getting a harness bar for the back. Those back 2 straps go over the bar and are mounting to the back 2 bolts of where the bracket meets the floor. The 2 lap straps are going into the stock mounting points. Then for the middle one im not sure yet. I might copy steeda's desgin and weld together a bracket that goes between the 2 front bolts so the middle one stays in the middle. Iv done some research

Idk its one of those things from the start that I wanted.
My freind has a v6 camaro. Its not fast, but hes got big drag radials coming out the back. It looks sick, might be slow but looks sick. My car might not be the fastest in the forum, but if i get in every time and love life. Thats all that matters. Sometimes people in here get confused and forget that its not always about being the fastest and most correct. Your supposed to have fun.
