Some NASTY Modulars gettin it done with a manual! (and one from the enemy!)
I was posting a couple vids in another thread about faceplated transmissions and I dug up some vids and pretty much all of them were some sick Mod motor cars tearing it up at the track.
Al Pappito's N/A 9 second 5.4l 97 Cobra: I think this is Ryan Hecox(SIC?): Brandon Alslept's P/S car: Steve Gifford (old 4v P/S set up): And a local friend of mine Shalom96's sick N/A 10 second 96 Cobra: Also Shalom on the road to 9s on the spray. The suspension was too soft for the power he was making. It was dialed in well for the 410rwhp and high ten passes, but with over 600rwhp on the spray, it was pulling it up too much and bouncing back up. I helped him pull the motor out last year, and he's now having a new bullet built by Modular Performance: And I'll throw in one from the bowtie camp just because this car deserves some respect: And Robz's NASTY, N/A low 9 second C5 Zo6: I cant wait to get my 96 back to the track. I should be testing at the need2speed.com Deed Hookers private track rental on the 27th and running at the NMRA spring break shootout ![]() I'm not sure if this should be in this section or the drag racing section......But being as its pretty much modular specific, i'll post it here. Mods feel free to move.

Phil if I see you at DH12 I'll stop and say hi. I'm going to try and pit next to 10sec306 if there is room. He's a hardcore n/a stick guy and will try and get some pointers from him.

![]() I'm not going to put the interior back in after the roll bar install. Atleast not for DH. I'll have it back in for the NMRA true street race though. I'm finally getting the car somewhat legal. It will be good to 10.0's with the MM 6 point bar. I'm pretty sure they'll let me slide if I dip back into the 9s having the bar, fire jacket, and 5 point harness. Heck they let me slide running bottom 10s and high 9s with absolutely no safety equipment for quite some time. Running my wifes LT1 is fun, but Ive REALLY missed running my car!

![]() Dead Hookers is private track rental by need2speed.com at Bradenton Motorsports Park. It was originated as a test & tune for serious racers and friends to be able to get together and run thier cars without bieng over run by ricers and idiots running thir moms mini vans on the standard thursday T&T's. It is usually limited to about 80-85 cars, and you must run slicks or drag radials, no street tires allowed (unless you have an AWD car). The past couple DH events have had a Street Car shootout with the winner getting a decent cash prize. The entry fee for the shoot out is only $20 (on top of the $40 to run at the event), so I think I may enter this one, although I probably dont stand a chance against low 9 and some 8 second cars......sometimes the slower car can get lucky and go rounds.

This thread is literally the best thread.
Is there anything better than 9 and 10 second Mustangs that have clutches and not computers?
