Noob Question about a BOV


Can you add a B.O.V. to a supercharger? And if so so i need a tune and whats the best brand? an also would i need any supporting mods? srry for the question

no a blow off valve is for turbos. since a supercharger is directly connected to the crank shaft, it slows down as soon as you let off the gas. since a turbo is not, it takes a while for it to slow back down, so you need teh BOV to let out the excess pressure for teh current engine rpm. you COULD but it would never be used and be pretty useless

a blow off is for superchargers or turbos! A BOV releases to the atmosphere and a bypass re-circ to the inlet.

Np man. The Atmospheric vented ones are the louder ones. The Big Red Race Valve is LOUD from what I hear. Youtube that. There are a few others so youtube is your friend. Are you blow thru or draw thru MAF?

with a blow thru you can you a BOV. Also it allows you to vent to the atmosphere. With draw thru you need a BPV(by-pass valve) and re-circ it to the inlet pipe

yes you can but need to be blow thru. easy to convert

superchargersonline.com have them. How r u going to convert? You can use a closed BigRed and re-circ it.
