Anyone using mobile 1 ?? This may shock you

So Ive been doing alot of research on engine oils and ran into this link, beware, it isalot of information, but if you guys care about your engines, read throught it!. But basically Mobile 1 did the worse out of most other engine oils half the price! This is what advertising does sad to say. I think im going to be switching to Royal Purple very soon.

The problem with that test is that all of the oil weights are different, you're not comparing apples for apples. And the test doesn't really take into account what the oil does when it's atoperating temperature. Despite that, it's not suprising that the Valvoline did well.

At first when I joined this site, everyone and their brother used RP Now I see people straying to other oils.

What's wrong with Royal Purple?
My car loves it, a lot cooler then most others (not all), smoother, cleaner and others I can't think of.

Also notice they left out some very good oils in this test. We have been doing our own oil tests for years now. We spend 45 grand a motor for our circle track late model motors that I race. My mustangs are just a hobby for me. Some of the guys that we set up drag and street cars for also have had oil testing done. You would be surprised by the results of a independent lab that has no clue whos oil it is will give you for results. Long story short only a couple oils are anwhere close to being as good as they claim to be. Also many people dont use the right oil for their application. Be it lack of knowledge or falling for the trends. Oil testing is very cheap costs us 35.00 dollars for a test that shows everything in the results. PM me if you have any questions,we may have already tested the oil for your application. You would be surprised what one of these tests will tell you about the health and condition of your motor,be it a daily driver or a track motor.

Sorry about the last post oils have been a sore subject lately at the shop. We got a bad batch that cost us a win and a new motor. 45 grand loss on crap oil because of crap quality control.

Have been running mobil1 full syn and havent had any problembs.
As a matter of fact I have been boosted for 2years now...up to 15psi on stock motor
Had the oil pan off the other day checking the mains and what not...all looked good. Getting ready for another track season had my mechanic do a compression and leak down test last week...Results were...170-175 across all cylinders(I have an aftermarket cam) and under 15% on all cylinders.

I will continue to run mobil1 and change my oil every 5000 miles.
