paint inperfections, only you owners know it but others dont

Ok guys,

I dont know how many other "perfectionists" are out there, im somewhat of one, but have my my limits.

I know every paint defect ,scratch, or imperfection on my car. Most of it is very small and no one will really notice unless you shine light on it and look right at it. But just want to know if this is just my problem that urks me kinda or are there others out there kinda like me??

Whenever I get a scratch or something my heart drops lol and it will bug me all day and cant get my mind off it unless I try to get it fixed.
I just found some spiderweb cracks in the clearcoat due to heavy impact, but it is located on the lower driver front bumper and only can be seen if you look for it. Sorry, just had to share my pain, its been bugging me all night..

haha, wanna talk about heart droppers, one day last summer i was washing my car. and a peice of the paint came off, its was as big as a dollar bill. it just peeled off my hood. owner before me took it to some 300 dollar paint shops i guess. i've got half my hood in primer because the paint is FALLING off.

Sorry to hear about your spider web man! mines going into the paint booth with in the month!

my bumper is constantly scrapped on the bottom, causing chips underneath it.. and it bugs the piss out of me... my door was repainted and faded a little differently.. most people can't notice but I loose sleep at night.. I have OCD when it comes to that kind of stuff.. part of the reason I won't get a nice expensive paint job, I can't imainge how I would feel I got a custom peral paint job and got a chip!!

i used to be like that, i just came to terms with what my car was. it still the same car but now it was war scars. i wish i could get a picture up of mine as it is now i wouldnt even have to point out the flaws

driver side: front fender/ side scoop/ and rear quarter (close encounter with a guardrail)

passenger side: front fender severe paint scuff on top ( tractor trailer tire exploded and sent rubber every where i dodged it but thats what caused the close encounter with the guardrail.... oops lesson learned)

front bumper and hood: rock chips/ spider cracking / and a big gash in the underside of the bumper from bottoming out entering a steep entrance

the roof of the car has scratches in it from an ass hole friend setting a box on it and SLIDING IT off the roof (i think that one pissed me off the most)

but it can be fixed and in a couple months it all will be... then i get to do all this fun shit again lmao

Yeah, I always kept really good track of all of my scratches. There were very few small dings. And everything was in good shape.

That is until I had to pull the motor and rebuild it. In the time the car has been put up in the garage I have added way too many stupid little scratches. And 1 decent scratch on the fender from when I pulled the motor and the motor swung around and scrapped along the side of my fender. I litteraly just sat there and starred at it for like 5 minutes.

Stupid rare gold paint.

+1, my car is going to the body shop immediately after its running again. so many scratches and dents from leaning under the hood. my dad owes me though for dropping a fking shelf on my fender on new years. so he foots the bill.
