Mach 1000 Sound
I got an 04 gt with a Mach 1000 sounds system with the 4 amps and 2 10" subs in the trunk.. the problem is i want subs that hit harder but with all the wiring going through the subs to the amps and speakers i was wondering if it would just be a waste of time and would i need to buy new speakers .. also would i be able to put a new deck in and still be able to keep my Mach 1000 subs working. Thanks for the advice

Honestly just rip everything out and get what I have lol (check the sig/garage). The last question however makes me think. You should still have control of the subs with a after market head unit, but i don't know if its complete controll. For instance, will you just be able to turn the bass up/down or also change the power the the subs, idk?

I had that system in my 02 and everyone i took it to told me its not worth the pain. If you want the subs to hit harder. Take them out and sell them and use the money to buy a system.

if you put an aftermarket deck in you will be able to get a little more juice to the subs, not alot as it all depends on how many volts your RCA pre-outs put out. Now when you replace the deck you will have full control of the sub through your aftermarket radio as it will allow you to adjust to the subwoofer output level. I wouldnt do too much as far as turning up the sub level or you will run the risk of blowing the speakers.

I had the 1000 and was told to remove it. when i sold it the guy who bought it just used the subs and boxes and went aftermarket with everything else. Those subs hit as hard as my alpine type r 10's. I was sick when i heard his car. so buy a new deck, amp(s). keeps the subs and mids and twees. through a mono block on those subs and BOOM! your done
