First I'd like to greet everyone! Then i'd like mods to forgive me what im writing. I know this is mustang forum but i have a question about lincoln mark VIII. It has the same 4.6 engine as mustang so i think You guys will know best what to do. My question is: Is it a big problem to instal a KB supercharger to lincoln mark VIII? What do i have to change to run it properly? Thanks in advance

Its not a problem at all, if its got a 4.6 and its from Ford motor company then we can help.
I have never heard of anyone doing a Kb on a Mark. But im sure it possible, it has the close to the same motor as a Cobra. You might need a few different things to complete it. but as for that i cant help you. I would if you can call up KB and ask them the possiblity of this job. Also, do a quick search on google for Marks with KBs.

Yeah a 4.6 car makes great power from a screw type s/c, where are 5.0 typically make better power from a cent. type.
I searched real quick and found some information. Some say the Vorteq is the best option for these cars.

Well, thanks for help! I'll give you reports as soon as any progress is made...
As far as i know i'll need cobra intake, new injectors and fuel pump... I don't really know what boost i need (i'd like to have about 400-450 hp) and what else i'll have to change. I hope that i won't have change crank and conrods... |
