Electronic issues

99 GT 63550 miles as of this post

Having issues with odometer turning off, along with a beeping sound when the lights are on and sometimes the wipers turn on. On some days, everything is normal. Of the three listed, done happen all together at the same time...it's one or the other. I thought maybe the turn signal arm but that doesn't explain the odometer turning off. Possible bad cpu chip or grounding of some sort?

Thanks.

yeah I have 99GT also and had that problem I took out my guage cluster and found there were some loose wires so I put the wires back in and used some strong tape and never had a problem since, but sounds like a loose wire to me!

Not looking forward to removing the cluster...but that would save me a trip to the mechanic only to find out it's a wire unplugged. Thank bro

Is your near that?

Thinking maybe the last few in production may have the same issue.

the cluster is rather easy to remove I know it looks like a lot but all it is is bolts and as for my vin I'm not to sure my car is at the shop getting a tune up but ill let you know when I get it back!

I pulled the cluster and found nothing wrong. Little dust but all wires are strongly connected to the two plugs. It was easy to pull...I may add blue leads now...=)

Wow well I couldn't tell ya then cuz I had those exact problems but maybe yours stems from a grounding wire as you said earlier or maybe something is touching that shouldn't!
