engine surges after 5 speed swap need help!
I have just finished changing my 1998 4.6 auto over to a t45.I am having trouble getting it to idle while using the automatic computer.When i put in the 5 speed computer in it will not start,i am thinking that the wireing harness going from the firewall to the tranny has something to do with it??Maybe i have to by pass the start safety wires that were set up for the manual tranny maybe.If anybody has had this problem before any input would be great please.I have the harness from the manual tranny in it at the moment and the wires connections on the firewall are different one of the connectors will not plug in,it is a 4 wire while the old one is a 7 wire.
