d series head unit????
just wondering if anyone knew where to get just the d series head unit. i have a pseries procharger and am considering getting a d series. im pretty sure it will work with all the same pipes but if i am wrong let me know. the only reason im considering it is cause someone is interested in just my head unit and i have been toying around with the idea anyways since i have a built motor.

I think the headunits are interchangable...
Good choice on going to the d-unit... I did a quick search and really did not see alot... Might try forums and such...Find someone who is moving up to like a F1 or something... |

well i just got off the phone with procharger. they said to just buy the d series head unit is about 3200. but to have them upgrade ur current pseries is 1300. and they said after there upgrade with the same pulley size u had on there before u should gain 5 pounds of boost. they said turn around time is about 1 and a half weeks.so i might just go ahead and do it since its gonna be a week or two before my car is all back together.just figured id share this incase someone else wants to upgrade there blower

well what kinda boost are you planning on making and what kind of power do you want to make. just realise that the p1 head unti will become inefficient around 16 psi. the d1 will mkae that efficiency go up a lot nd will have a better torque curve becuase of the different impellar design.
if your only shooting for 450-500, just keep the p1 and boost it and youll be okay

well eventually once i get a new tranny i want to be around 600-650 since the rest of the car is set up to handle that kind of power. im thinkin the smart thing to do would be get the tranny now and after this year when the tracks are closed send the blower out for the upgrades.

if your wanting to make that kind of power. ditch the procharger entirely and go to a paxton novi 2000. its an 8 second capale blower. the d series blower will support that also but youd be better off going with an f series blower over the d1 for that kind of power
