03-04 mach 1 or 03-04 cobra
Which one should i purchase. I like the cobra and the power, but I really like the way the mach 1 looks. Either one I get i'm going to hold onto. I would just like to hear some of your opinions.

i personally would get a cobra. but if you dont care about the power with the stock car and you like the look of the mach1 better. then buy the mach1 and do some mods to it with the extra cash(since they are usually cheaper than the cobra)

personally i say you cannot go wrong with either. buuuuut. the cobra will make more power with very simple mods. so, if your hungry for some power, and doing it relatively inexpensively, than i would get a cobra.

I like the power of the cobra
. I have a 1998 mustang gt now so I will probably notice a big difference with either one. It's going to be my daily driver for a long time. Which one has better reliability. Also, I take care of my cars they all ways have to be running perfect. I'm kind of a perfectionist on that.

I believe (although not based on personal experience) that the Cobra is going to be more expensive to maintain and fix. Parts aren't real cheap for the car.

I'd go with the cobra for the power, but if ya like old school looks you can't go wrong with a shaker on a mach 1

Look at it this way though. A good mach will run you 16k. A good cobra will run you 20k. So if you bought a mach, thats 4k left over to supercharge it.

isn't the problem with supercharging the mach is that the mach's didn't come with forged internals like the cobra and also and aluminum block?

the manual machs do come with a forged crank that is strong than the cast piece they use in the automatic mach's. however the internals will not take as much power as the cobra's will.

Like I always say, get the one that you just love looking at your window at all day. My Mach has a serious presence wherever it goes and it is a nasty, bad ass sounding, high revving street beast that runs cobras too. Not all of them of course and cobras can be made fast too but that's my point, get the one you love the looks of and love to drive. The one thing about either is they have pro's and con's, Mach has aluminum block and solid rear, so lighter and more sturdy (stock) rear end. Cobra has supercharger bullitt proof short block, and six speed. So decide if max power is your goal, or if your like me and 500rwhp on a N/A motor is enough to keep you happy. If you need 600-800 rwhp then do yourself a favor and get the cobra it's just easier to do it with. I personally like big nasty N/A motors and I love the look of my Mach. I wouldn't trade a termi owner straight up unless it was just a beast of a car. Just my opinion though
