Shorty headers . . .

i've got a set of brand new Ford racing headers (stainless steel) and i've been debating on whether or not to put them on my '00 GT . . . they are shorties and i was wonderin what the major power differences were between the shorty headers and the longtube headers? i know the longtube are more expensive - but more expensive usually doesnt mean its worth it . . .

Should i put them on or just sell them and just get some other performance mod . . . right now i've only got a BBK intake, bassani x-pipe, and MAC catback

?!?!?! watcha guys think . . ?

bang for buck? looking for power adder . . . keep them and put em on or sell them and get something else . . ?

If you've already got the shorty's just put them on. Longtubes will give you a little more power, but the shorty's can't hurt. If you are willing to loose some money... and go through the hassle of selling something, then get the longtubes.

hey i just looked at your other post about the x-pipes.... if you have an o/r x-pipe hooked up to your stock headers right now, then if you decide to get longtubes you will have to get a new mid pipe as well. if you keep the shorty's, you can keep the x-pipe you already have. save yourself some $$

yeah, i think i will just rock em . . . i got them for a pretty good deal anyways . . . shouldnt take more than like 2hours to put em on - it looks like you have to take off the steering column . . . i'm not real sure . . . i'll have to look at it again . . . i hate taking off steering colums - my buddy did his when he was puttin on some headers on his LS1 and he went around a hard corner after he got everything installed and he hit a tree cuz his steering assembly locked up on him . . .
