I got a Kenne Bell, I love it, they make awesome power, sound even better!!!
Make sure to spend the extra cash and get the boost a pump, and intercooler for it, if you don't get the intercooler, then a meth kit would be a good idea. these puppies run HOT!!! They cost more than a centri, but they are well worth it!!
Good luck with you're build!!! Keep us posted

Other than the price, what's not to like? Mine was installed as part of a complete build up that included a new motor, so I had it installed by the shop.

I agree with the above that you should only consider the intercooled kit.

Thanks for the input guys. I have been reading as much as I can find about turbo's and SC's. Seems like the Belle setup is the way to go. A little pricey but...it's only money!! The only issue I have is, since I have a tune already on a cammed motor once I bolt on the belle setup...I will have to put it on a flat bed to get to the dyno shop to get it to run right. The dyno shop is over two hours from here.....any thoughts on this??

do you have a handheld tuner? usually they can send you a safety tune to get you to the shop. i know you can drive with an untuned centri because they dont make much boost until higher rpms but with a twin screw you might be making like 8lbs as low as 2000rpms so idk how your motor would respond untuned

where have u been reading!?

Turbos is the most efficient means of forced induction out there.

I disagree, it depends on what you are looking for. I want a flat curve starting at low rpm. The twin screw setup from belle is very close to be as efficient as a turbo or centrifical (sp) but without the lag and it the boost comes on much lower in the rpm range and is again a fairly flat linear curve.

They are efficient, no argument there. But it's only because they don't require power from the engine to operate. Turbo's come with their own set of issues. One thing that turned me off to them, is the ridiculous amount of jointed, or welded, plumbing running all through the engine bay, and underneath the car! Then having to swap out the k-member, doing coil overs, way too much stuff to cause problems down the road on a street driven car!

Oh, btw, I love your avatar! I can just sit here and stare at it for hours. LOL!

there really itsn't that much piping...just a little bit more then a Procharger setup. The k member and less weight and more room to work on the car.

And thanks for the Avatar compliments!

Kenne Bell doesn't require any additional piping, k-member, coil overs, special headers, and has ZERO boost lag!

And you're welcome!

they also get high inteake temps, expensive to upgrade and turn up the boost, not the best top end boost, takes power to make power ESP. at higher boost levels

There is no blower that is even close to the efficiency of a turbo. Switching from a KB to a turbo at over 15 psi ( same psi for both) will probably gain you 100+hp. At higher boost blowers can consume 150+ hp. Look at the giant blowers on the top fuel cars that consume 900hp just to spin the blower!! Blowers are much easier, cheaper, legal, etc. I have a KB and love it. A roots blower dominates the low rpm range, like under 2500. TS blowers will dominate most turbos under 3000-3500 rpms, but then the turbos really dominate everything after that! Get the KB, you will love it!

KB2.8H here. No complaints at all. Its propelled my stock bottom end 4.6 to run a 9.74@142

I dont think he was stating the KB was more efficient. IMO, you cant beat a KB for the simplicity of install and plumbing.

A turbo can make great power, but 1000hp on the dyno does not always equate to great performance on the street or the track. I've seen quite a few 1000rwhp Turbo Cobra's get snapped on the street by a 600-650 hp KB car.

Its a matter of getting the turbo spooled, and planting the tires when it does spool.

As for the efficiency, a turbo is DEFINITELY more efficient. spin my KB 2.8H to push 25psi. It makes 677/643. That kind of boost with an 88mm turbo would have me in the 900+ range.

Some of the big centri's come close. but its still a losing battle. The Twin screws are no where near as efficient as a turbo or a centri for that matter.

Maybe for peak power, but for the area under the curve,, no way. A well sized turbo can maintain peak boost above about 3500 rpms. The centri has peak boost at redline.
