shelby GT500

I was just looking at the GT500 vs the corvette. and the GT500 is only like 2000 more than the regular corvette. Also it has 100 more horsepower. I give Ford big props for this. And im a chevy guy. haha

maybe out handle but 1/4 mile i think i would give it to the GT500. Now this is just a base corvette. not the Z06 or anything like that.

I've been really sketchy on the whole neoShelby idea from the start. And the new KR is pretty much a letdown. Don't get me wrong, it looks f*ckin' AWESOME, but how much more money, and for what, 40 more hp? OoooOOOOoooh... whup-de-crap.

If they wanna make a real King of the Road, why not cut the fat out, give it back some IRS, and make a 500hp Mustang that actually handles *good*? And I'm not talking better than normal Mustang good, I'm talking Miata and Solstice good. Beat 'em off the line, beat 'em in a straight line, *and* beat 'em in the corners. Pass Corvettes with your kids in the back seat. That'd be a real King of the Road.

dude i totally agree w/ ReverendDexter...they could put such a great suspension on these cars and raize the price a bit but who would care..i still like the shelby hands down but i think mainly b/c of the "SHELBY" name..

I doubt a 2006/07 Corvette with a LS2 will stand stock vs. stock against a GT500 in 1/4... (not to say anything bad about Chevy or anything, my bro has a 2002 Camaro SS and I have a 2007 Mustang GT and he will walk my ass as of right now..but he does have a few mods and I am bone stock ATM], so until I beat him I can't really say much)

However, a LS7 in the new z06's got to love them.

But, if I had that money at the moment I would most defiantly go with a GT500 I couldn't turn down a beauty like that for just another Corvette..
