I ordered some precut vinyl racing stripes from decalshoppe.com, and let me tell you how disappointed I was. After getting some advice from a friend about buying stripes, he told me I should get tapered stripes as they look the best. After shopping around for days, pricing stripes, weeding out tapered from non-tapered I found a site I thought had a pretty good deal. I emailed the site and asked if their stripes were tapered, despite the description only saying they were cut to fir 05-09 GT's. I got my response a little while later asking me what tapered meant.

Now, this probably should have been my first sign, but I explained what it meant and in the next email I received I was assured they were tapered. With a smile on my face, I ordered up the stripes excited to make my car stand out from the herd just a little more. After paying for 2 day shipping the stripes arrived on my door step about a week later. I was told there was a delay for cutting my stripes. Ok, not a big deal, I still got them before the weekend I wanted them. I pull the stripes out of the box and measured them. No taper. a few angles cut here and there.

Disappointed I rolled them back up, boxed them back up and set them to the side. I got distracted for the next few days and finally got around to shooting an email to The Decal Shoppe. After explaining what happened I was told to measure again. I agreed, because who knows, I may have made a mistake we all do. I measured again, still not tapered. I relayed the message. After being jerked around for TWO WEEKS exchanging emails asking for all of my money back, I was told I could exchange them for a Shelby Stripe kit. Cut for a Shelby. I don't own a Shelby, that product is useless to me. I was then told I could return for a restocking fee, again I said no. It wasn't my fault, I was told they were tapered.

Finally, I was told I couldn't return the stripes, it was too far after their return policy. I was fuming. I tried to resolve the situation amicably, I wasn't rude until the end. I told the guy I would dispute the credit card charge. I disputed the charge, got my money back. A month later, the money was taken from my card again because the dealer appealed the dispute.

Make my $200 mistake be your lesson. Don't order from this site unless you know exactly what you are getting. Ask every question.

That was just my experience with them. I was probably a dumbass too, but what business treats their customers like that. After this whole ordeal I found a friend who was willing to paint them on for $300, so I guess alls well that ends well. Now I just need that $300

Ouch... Sorry to hear that happened... So the credit card company originally reversed the charges but then recharged you... Did they indicate why? I thought most if not all credit cards have some sort of buyer protection when the item received is not what was ordered.

I'm with Don....I didn't think they would recharge you! I would definitely call them and question that.

Sucks that it happened to you, but I'm glad you ended up going with paint...MUCH better choice . In the future, if you need vinyl graphics, I had a very good experience with ** Graphic Express * Ford Mustang Stripe Kits and Decals - Mustang GT Boss Cobra Mach1 King Cobra Maverick Torino Pony Decals Shipping Specials. I started out with vinyl graphics, just to be sure that I really liked the graphics that I was thinking about BEFORE painting them on. Their customer service was awesome. I had a lady open her door into mine, tearing the door stripe. I called Graphic Express, and they sent me a new one at NO CHARGE! So yeah, I would highly recommend them.

I do plan on getting back in touch with them. Its a matter of finding them. I'm pretty upset they did that.
