Springless Valve System

Never seen this here before, is this actually feasible??

Opinions, thoughts, would it yield any HP/TQ gains??

Desmodromic valve actuation has been around for a long time but the only common recent application has been high-end Ducati motorcycles. The wiki link gives some interesting info.

is it just me, or shouldnt the lack of a valve cover cause oil to be going all over the place? not to mention a massive vaccum leak? other than that, seems cool to me

I noticed that too. They obviously have the oil passages to the head blocked off, you notice they didn't rev it very high? This appears to be just a proof of concept demo setup, if they run it very much they'll end up having to replace worn parts.
