3v Sn95 Swap Help!!!

Ok basically, i have searched everywhere, i already got specific instructions on how to swap a 3V 4.6 into my 97 SN95 by cancelling out the VVT. BUT what i am unable to find is how to swap it into my SN95 WITHOUT cancelling VVT and using the ECU and Harness of the 3v, since i got it with the motor already. I know Ford Racing has the Control Pack which includes the harness, flashed ecu and pedal assembly, but im not interested in spending 1500$ for a package that includes the ECU and Harness which i already have!

So does anyone know of how i can make this possible? I want to swap in the 3V but save the VVT, including the fact that i already have the harness and ECU, and most likely only need the pedal assembly to keep it fly by wire.
(AND NO I DONT WANT TO SWAP A 4V )

NOTE* I also contacted Keith Logan from Logan Motor Sports and he was not able to help me since they have only done the swap cancelling the vvt.

$1500 to make it run sounds a lot better to me than trying to figure out how to splice together your SN95 harness with a 3v harness.

Theres no splicing necessary, the harnesses are basically the same.

And the gauges are going to work with that setup?

I'm not contradicting, just curious. If it was that simple, I would imagine that there'd be a lot more 3v SN95s running around.

If you don't know, then how can you say there's no splicing involved?

This is why I say that $1500 setup is a good deal. For $1500, it's just about guaranteed to work, and it probably even comes with instructions.

How much time are you going to sink into getting your existing harness to work? If your time is worth $10/hr, and you don't have to buy ANY other parts to get things to work, that only gives you 150 hours of total time invested before your "cheap" swap actually costs you more than just buying the damn kit.

3v swaps aren't common in SN95s or foxes, and the few I've heard about all make concessions like removing the variable cam timing. It's been over five YEARS now since that motor came out, so there's been plenty of time for it to happen if it was going to.

Maybe you're a lot smarter than anyone that's looked at this swap before you and you'll be the one that totally figures out how to do it. Near as I can tell, you'll need to use the S197 ECU, which means you'll need to know what every input it needs is, and what every output it expects to be able to make is, how it's gonna check to make sure it has those inputs and outputs, and what it'll do when those checks fail. I have a feeling that you'd need to use the S197 gauges, or use the S197 gauge cluster guts behind the SN95 gauge cluster. Or, figure out a way to allow the ECU to send to a dummy cluster, and use all custom gauges ($$$). Or you might be able to use a standalone, like a megasquirt. I'm not sure if there's any standalone that supports the VCT, though you could code your own setup for MS if you're so inclined and have the skill to do so.

Thx. i guess its coming to the point to where im forced to cancel the VVT. but my main question was if ford makes a pack that i already have some parts of i dont see me spending the 1500 for another computer and another harness when i have those already. so thats my main question.
