Please Help! Fuel pump won't stay primed once the car is started.
I'm going to post this here while I continue to search. I'm posting in this section because even though the car is an 89, it has a modular powertrain, but I'm assuming this has something to do with the ignition system.
We've got a decent couple days up here so I decided to drive my Fox Mod around a bit. I turn the key, the car starts right up, but immediately dies. After a few more tries, I discover that the fuel pump is priming properly while the car is staring, and about halfway back to the run position. Once the key gets back to the run position, the power to the pump goes away. If I hold the key in between start and run once the car starts, it stays running just as it should. I'm not very good at this electrical stuff. Anyone have any ideas? |
