What will it take

I"m buildoing a fox coupe to run a local 1/8 mile outlaw style series, I"m wanting to run a modular engine to be different but was wondering what it would take to get one to run 5.0s to 5.20s in the 1/8. Ive done it before with a 421 windsor and nitrous but never tried it with a modular engine. Can it be done. Thanks

you can build a modular motor to make all the power you want.
the question would be why.
if that 421 worked for you, save yourself a ton of money & time, go with what you know.

Just kinda wanting to try something different, I sold the car with the 421 so I'm starting from scratch either way thought I might see what I could so with a modular.

If you haven't bought a motor yet I would recommend a 4 valve. Actually I would recommend a pushrod motor, they are so much cheaper to build.

pushrod will be cheaper and easier. a mod motor can do it easily, just expensive. remember, just cams alone are $950-1300 depending where you get them.
