my red pinstriped wheel try

well after seeing the thread on here about sonic wanting to do this it got me really interested in it, my car's pretty much all black with no contrast so figured a red lip stripe on the wheels would give it some. i think it turned out pretty good imo and i like it. i plan on getting some black 03/04 cobra wheels to replace these and will most likely get the lip of those powdercoated red, this was just so i could see if i liked it or not, which i do. here's some pics...

up close it doesn't look all that great cause the tape didn't really like to curve all that much. if you'd take your time more i'm sure you could get it to turn out great but i only spent about 15 minutes actually putting the tape on all 4. i just wanted it as an idea. and i didn't want to take upclose pics cause my rims are filthy as you can see, and didn't have time to clean them good.

I dont know about autozone but ive ordered it off ebay for my sportbikes before for $10 shipped...pre-cut and pre-curved to fit the rim. Just search rim tape on ebay

it cost 4 bucks for a 40' roll. enough for 5 rims so if you messed one up no big deal. i actually just took the rims off the car this weekend for the winter wheels, and i snapped some pics before i put them away since i plan on selling them. here's a couple...

anyone local wanna buy 'em? haha.

i think when i paint my rims ill just spray them all gloss black, and then test to see if i really like the pinstripe with this stuff, and if i do, then ill actually spray the laser red pinstripe

and you say autozone has this right?
