Mods+install price list, average, do & dont's...

Hello Guys. I'm really getting into the Mustang thing, it's addictive.
With some of you being experienced in this world, can you pitch in to help make a list of PRICES and have ideas of what will cost what for those of us that are newbies??? I've searched and it seems to be difficult to find something here on this topic.

like:
Gears, installed with lubricants and new kit less than $450.00
CAI, average of $100-270 for good CAI kits, not ebay pvc tubing...
you get the idea...

I paid $1200 for the long tubes, O/R H pipe, new tune/dyno and installation. Is that good or did I get jacked? (no, really, I paid that) I paid $450 earlier for the Magnaflow catback installed with tips.

The idea is to help with budgeting. I now there's the sticky for first mods, so this is strictly for prices, and if you want to throw in performance evaluation...
Thanks, and I'm calling me and IDIOT in advance.

good start...

Now, the Nos kit installed? What would be a good price (ballpark)?

The kit is a ZEX kit, not NOS and it's as simple as they come to install... It's a matter of mounting the bottle in your trunk... Running the main nitrous line out a hole already grommeted in your trunk the length of the car undeneath and up through the engine bay.

Then mounting the nitrous managment unit (for zex kits) or nitrous/fuel solenoids... Tapping the intake for the nitrous/fuel nozzel, running a few lines and you're done.

Everything else is just wireing the switches and WOT activation and thats a matter of a couple of hours if you're taking your time. I installed my entire kit in about 3.5 hours hardly ever even looking at the instructions.

GOOD. Maybe it's time I do that then... Obviously after I install it, I'll take it to my tuner for a dyno tune.

yeah... do not spray it without a tune. they say you're safe on stock timing up to 100shot but just to be completely safe i wouldn't spray until you get a tune in there from a reputable tuner. i just blew up my GT motor running a 125shot but hey, thats life haha. just dont make the same mistake i did. it will be tempting to hit that button on the street while you're waiting in line for a tune but.. 4k for a new motor just because u were impatient isn't woth it!
