clutch problems
Just bought a 2001 GT. Was in a collision and sat for a while. I got the car cheap when i picked it up just drove it right on the trailor. Has adjustable clutch cable, stage 3 clutch, Was gonna drive it down the street b4 i tore it down and cannot get it in gear. Grinds in 1st every single time and will not go in any other gear. Ive adjusted clutch cable all over the place but doesnt help. Only way you can get it in gear is to shut the car off and put it in gear. clutch, throwout bearing?? Whats the problem and what all should i try?
Thanks |

my money is on the pressure plate or the TOB. Pull the dust plate of the trans and change the TOB. Thats what i would do first, if that doesnt fix it start looking into clutch kits.
