Need advice on shifting issue

Hey guys

New to this site..
Just recently bought a 99 cobra 80,000 miles on it... had it for about a couple weeks, was having an issue with the shifting (wanted it to bite lower) Car has a Steeda firewall adjuster on it, adjusted/loosened it up a bit, now the car wont even shift into any gears at all unless the car is not running...

What could my problem be..?

just bought a new clutch cabe too was going to install later today but wanted to get advice from the guys beforehand

thanx

I had a clutch go out on a 99 Hyundai and that fucker refused to shift unless the car was off. Clutch might be toast.

maybe you loosened it up too much and now the clutch isnt fully disengaging. try tightening it back up and see if that helps. one or two clicks goes a long way on those firewall adjusters

on a side note im very jealous of your car

Agree with the guy above, definitely too loose now. Once youve gotten it tightened back up, you can slightly move the pedal itself by loosening the bolt holding it in place(mark where it was aligned with whiteout) and you have a small about of room to play with the pedal before you must tighten that bolt back. I personally havent tried this but it seems possible and its a least worth a try. If it works, tighten the clutch cable as needed. If it doesnt work, place it back in the former position(refer to marks and be sure to torque the bolt to spec) and check into a pedal adjustment kit.
