Clutch Cable \ Quadrant Help Needed

So when i got my stang , it had just had a new clutch and cable , and quadrant installed 6 months before i got it . After having it 4 months , the cable broke at the upper quadrant . It was suppose to be a steeda cable and tripple prong quad . I even called lonestar performance to verify the work and what products was used . After talking to a couple shops here in DFW area , i was told that the stock cable was best so i ordered one . My biggest concern after taking the broke cable off is how do you adjust the stock cable ? The steeda one had a threaded piece on the fork with 2 nuts for adjustment , but from the pics of the stock one , i dont see any similar adjustment methods . Can any one offer any help in this area please ? Thanks

The stock one is meant to be adjusted via the stock plastic clutch quadrant (by pulling up on the clutch pedal). If you're using an aftermarket quadrant and the stock clutch, then you'd need to get a firewall adjuster (something like this or this). You'll have to cut part of the end (where it goes to the firewall) off your stock cable but it's pretty easy.

I'm using the Maximum Motorsports quadrant and adjuster, and it works great. The only problem I had with them is I had to file/sand down the bushing they gave me so it would fit in the adjuster.
