Floor jack won't clear car

I know a lot of you guys have lowered rides, any one have a problem with the jack not fitting underneath? I have 5 quarts of oil and a filter sitting in my garage ready to go. I'm considering taking it to a shop and seeing if they can do it for like a discounted rate. I think first I will try to go from either sid and see whats up and if I can get one side up, put in a jack stand, then do the same for the other side.

....sigh. it's times like these I wish I had a lift.

Buy a set of the plastic car ramps and drive up them. Wil they clear the car?

Agree just drive your car up on something like wood to clear a few inches.

I cut the handles off 2 factory jacks and then Use an impact gun to raise and lower the car , those jacks fully compressed will fit under the lowest cars .

I like this 2x4 idea. I think I'll give it a shot. Thanks guys, and of course reps.

I 2nd the 2x4 idea. We just have two 2x4's screwed together with the screws counter sunk so they don't hurt the tires. The bottom 2x4 is about 3 inch's longer than the top one and it makes it real easy to get lift arms or a jack under it.

Yup. Works even better with 2x6's. Likes roughly like this _,----,_ if you catch my drift.

to go a step further i keep two 2x4 pieces in my trunk with my aluminum low pro jack in case i get a flat. It would really suck to have a flat and the car set that much lower with the factory jack.

We have a low profile jack as well, but sometimes its not low enough still. We have a pair of these: Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more minus the LED's... I don't reccomend them however. We both have had problems with them.

If I lived halfway across the country I might do that lol. and Towelly that jack looks cool but i dont care about lightweight. I want a heavy duty jack that can hold a heavyweight engine up. Psh, lightwieght jack. It's almost an oxymoron.
