Side exaust

hey im lookin to get side exaust for my 97 gt but i donk know if i would need new ground effects or what kind i would need to get. any suggestions?

Ford motorsport svo made a set of side exhaust skirts for use with a borla side exhaust kit. I think you will have a hard time finding one now a days though. I have seen some on the web though.

Here is the actual exhaust set up, it's for a 99-04 but a shop should be able to make it work:

This site sells the Roush body kit complete with side skirts and the exhaust set up. You can contact them and see if they will sell it without the spoiler and bumpers.

i believe a company called classic design concepts or somethin of the like makes one

i got the roush side exit on my 96 and i LOVE IT you will never want anything else after you have that.
but to cut cost i would have a muffler shop do a custom one and just buy sideskirts IMO

lol if i buy any body kit from now on it'll prolly be from stage3motorsports.com they cost an arm and a leg but it's the real deal stuff it is made to factory oem specs my saleen kit was COMPLETE and a PERFECT fit in every aspect the front bumper endured a really hard hit from a lady that ran a stoplight and isn't scuffed! just needs repainted in a few spots. the kit was $1,500 but oh so worth it

and the back bumper says saleen!

My appologies on thread jacking but ^^ i agree with the person up there why not buy the whole kit?

I know it's wrong but sometimes I wish i just had a normal GT so I could do cool stuff like that to it.

I really, really like the look of side exhaust. But unless you run open pipes, you make less power due to the extra bends. There's just no room under a Mustang to have mufflers except behind where side exhaust needs to exit, so you add an extra 270 degrees or more in pipe bends to make it work.

on a related note - i hate how stock 94-98 skirts look. thought about doing saleen skirts, but think they look kinda blocky for our cars without the rest of the kit. anybody know of any skirts they like that dont look like running boards?

i was considering the cervini stalker side skirts (nvm the ugly stalker 1 bumper, headlights, etc):

Hmmm. They look pretty similiar to the saleens to me. I like the way the saleen skirts accentuate the indention in the door. You just have to make sure you use a door filler/ door pad with whatever ones you choose so they don't end up looking like a step.

and you KNOW you want that stalker bumper man. Don't even try to deny it.
