HP numbers 99-04

What kind of power are GT's from 99-04 making with minor bolt ons like exhaust and cold air and stuff like that? I am looking for wheel horsepower like from a dyno if anyone has dynoed one of these or seen one dyno. thanks

I got cams underdrive pulleys, full exhuast no cats and a steeda RAI and a custome tune at diablosport got dynoed at 250 rwhp 287 torque BTW i was told my actual HP was like 280hp because the tune shops ratings are 20 - 25 hp off. I sure hope so.

My buds '02 GT made 230/278 to the wheels on a Mustang dyno (which ALWAYS run low). He has a BBK CAI, BBK throtle body, MAC 3" exhaust with off road x-pipe, and a dyno tune.

I know the HP numbers seem very low, but the torque numbers are good and 278 is at 3800 rpm. If it were a DynoJet, I guarantee it would be 250+ to the wheels.

There are no differences other then the 03+ have no shrader valve on the fuel rail...All the rest are shear cosmetic...

I have an 02 with an 03 engine...When it was N/A it was the same as the stock 02 engine...

The 03 does have a schader valve Chris. I pulled mine off a few weeks ago. Do you need one?

Its not suppose to have one...lol

They stopped that in 2002...

I had one with my 2002 and now that i have the 03 engine in there it does not have one...The shrader valve was on the passenger side right above the front injector...

Now my fuel pressure gauge pulls the pressure from the driver side "sensor" location that is there...I had to buy a special adapter from NX to make it work...

But bro I appreciate the offer to give me one though...I dont ahve a use for one...Actually will be switching to new fuel rails soon anyways...

Sure you don't have an 04 motor, Chris. I have one exactly where you are talking about- right above the passenger side fuel injector closest to the front of the vehicle.

i agree, i wish i could find the article, but like i said the differences are very minimal, my understanding was that the compression changed ever so slightly, and some electronics changed as well - it doesnt make sense to me either, esp with the 05 model change coming up

They quit putting them ont he fuel rail in 02...I know beucase I had mine set-up for the 02 and then when they put the 03 in it did not have it...

Sounds like someone either swapped your rails for an 02 at some point or you got a factory freak...

And there is NO DIFFERENCE in power between the engines...Sorry but the article is mistaken...Of coarse there are factory freaks but not by much and that is not year specific...

Yeah, I've got a factory freak- 312/326 and I've done barely anything to it. They must have used some leftover rails at the end of the year 2002, because I got the car with 16,000 miles and the kid I bought it from didn't even know how to unlatch the hood............

It is always a possibility that they could have just put some left over rails from 02 on there...

Yeah you have done "alittle"...lololololololol

Enjoy the shrader valve...I know I miss mine...But Oh well I got everything to work now...
