Tire pressure

ok well the other day i cheacked my tire pressure and i was like I had 50psi of pressure so ilooked at my car book found out i only need 35psi so now my ? is what should i run 50 or 35 the tire itself says it can handle 51 max and the tires arent all the tall i.e. short sidewall and to make it even harder for me i actually let the air run out to about 40 psi and i catch traction a hell of alot better no so I dont know what to do

i know its prolly a dumb ?

not a bad tire at all... they grip pretty well.

follow what it says on the tire but don't use the max pressure. i would go 5-6psi off of max at least.
