I dont really care bout the polished look. I dont plan in polishing my headers anyway, just wanna keep the heat down a bit and protect my mid-pipe

Does that reduce underhood temps? I dont see any mention of it on any of their exhaust paints.

I found this stuff that seems good but havent found much on it yet, Retail Packaged, Exhaust System Coatings.

with a mod motor, under hood heat from the headers is minimal. the headers are more under the engine than in the engine compartment. Its not as important on a mod motor to keep the temps down from the headers as it is in a push rod engine.

I thought the overall placement of the motors was pretty similar? I know underhood temps arent a major issue which is why Id rather use a DIY kit. it certainly cant hurt and itll help protect everything.

placement is about the same, but the angle of of the heads is different. The headers are more pointed down on ours
